The idea of merging home and art is how Good Eye Gallery was born. Collecting art and decorative objects began with my life post college in san francisco thrift stores. As I moved from flat to flat with my growing collection of treasures, I longed for a home of my own.
In 1999 I moved from the hipster enclave of Silverlake to the then quiet neighborhood of Eagle Rock, where a sole coffee shop stood under construction. Over the last 14 years things have changed. Eagle Rock and neighboring Highland Park have exploded and are now the hot places to live. The 1948 house I moved into has been transformed slowly from original owner remuddle to a more mature version of the vintage me. Surrounding yourself with things you love to look at is essential to living life healthfully. My home makes me feel connected, alive and around each corner there is art that makes me smile.
