Good Eye Open features over fifty original works of art presented salon style. Experimenting with the idea that artists at various points in their careers can co-exist in one space, this showcase brings together a collection of works from emerging and established artists, as well as mid-century gems rediscovered by curator Melinda Fay.
With her keen eye and spirited attitude, Fay provides a dynamic mix of old and new, trained and self taught, original and limited edition works in a price range that makes art collecting more accessible and affordable than most traditional gallery settings.
Fay’s background as a Therapist brought her intimately into contact with children impacted by domestic violence and parents struggling to keep their families intact. Through her work as an Art Therapist, she witnessed the power of non-verbal communication and saw how creative expression gave voice to those previously silenced by fear.
Profits from Good Eye Open will benefit A Window Between Worlds, a nonprofit organization dedicated to using art to help end domestic violence. Donations to AWBW will directly support their Children’s Windows Program, which provides weekly art workshops to children and teens in domestic violence shelters, transitional housing, and outreach centers.
